Add a piece of ribbon for a decorative touch and hang them on the tree as a family. Alternatively, you could have each family member do one ornament a day as part of an advent calendar or countdown to Christmas activity.

You could also find a small craft tree and make a Christmas gratitude tree. It’s a wonderful way to remember the true meaning of the holiday season and have it as a visible reminder when the holiday crankies start to show up.

Gratitude is shared and modeled by those of us who have been around longer. Our kids need to see us being grateful for what we have every day to show their gratitude.

It’s okay if it takes longer for some kids to understand this as long as you are constantly helping them to find it. Use our printable gratitude ornaments to help along the way!
