Nothing goes together better together than Halloween science and young kids! I can’t tell you how much I love the fun science activities that the Halloween season brings around. We particularly love Halloween science experiments! Join us as we count down with 31 Days of Halloween STEM. You are sure to find tons of ideas here to make your Halloween amazing!

Halloween and Science

This season we enjoyed more fizzy Halloween science experiments, but we have also tried out a few different slime ideas too! I am excited to say that we had a lot of fun with every activity.

I also feel confident in saying that the Halloween science activities below are pretty much foolproof and easy to prep with common household ingredients!

Sometimes you have lots of great ideas but not enough time to try everything! Most of these activities will work at home as well as in the classroom with a couple of kids or a group of kids.

Remember that you can tweak these Halloween ideas to fit your needs too. Great for preschoolers to early elementary-aged kids!

Learn how to make homemade slime, explore how ice melts, blow bubbles, try fizzy eruptions all using ingredients or supplies found in your kitchen or pantry.

Why Science Is Important For Young Kids

Kids are curious and always looking to explore, discover, check out, and experiment to find out why things do what they do, move like they move, or change like they change! Indoors or outdoors, science is definitely amazing! Holidays or special occasions just make science all the more fun to try!

Science surrounds us, inside and out. Kids love checking things out with magnifying glasses, creating chemical reactions with kitchen ingredients, and of course exploring stored energy! Check out 100 genius STEM projects to get started any time of the year including the other “big” days.

Science starts early, and you can be a part of that with setting up science at home with everyday materials. Or you can bring easy science to a group of kids! We find a ton of value in inexpensive science activities and experiments.
