Top 10 Best Picture Book Picks!
These are our 10 best picture books. We own each of these and have read them dozens of times together. They are tried, tested and true! I know he will enjoy reading them on his own as he learns how to read. They all have beautiful, vibrant colored pictures to examine. The text is rich and easy to follow! Many of the books rhyme too. I hope you will find a new one for your holiday wish list!
Bang! Boom! Roar! A Busy Crew of Dinosaurs by Nate Evans. We love reading this for the dinosaurs, the construction and the alphabet. Lots to see and lots of words for each letter. Good rhymes and silly pictures. Great mix of many popular ideas!
Book # 2
Harry and Horsie by Katie Van Camp. A special stuffed animal and an imaginative adventure. Also a good bedtime story.
Berenstain Bears Big Book Of Science & Nature. We have used this book a lot to learn all about the seasons, nature, and different kinds of science experiments! Very fun and rhyming too. The pages are full of things to look it. I actually read it cover to cover for him one day!
Pete the Cat and His Magic Sunglasses! by James Dean. A great use of Pete the Cat to teach kids about seeing the best in everything even if you are feeling a little down!
Dragons Love Tacos by Adam Rubin. Just a fun and silly book for my taco loving little boy. The dragons don’t like spicy tacos, uh-oh what happens?
Even Firefighters Hug Their Moms by Christine Kole MacLean. This books is filled with a little boys imagination while he pretends he and his sister are firemen, policemen, garbage men, train conductors and more all with out lots of toys.
The Spiffiest Giant in Town by Julia Donaldson. Very fun story about a giant who wants more and then gives it all away to help others only to find he was happy with what he had!
Stanley’s Stick by John Hegley. A boy and his stick and all that a stick can be. Wonderful for the imagination!
Twas the Day Before Zoo Day by Catherine Ipcizade. We love reading this often and playing with our zoo animals too. Perfect for an upcoming zoo trip!
Tractor Mac You’re A Winner by Bob Stears. These books have a great little story about friendship and lesson learning!
