Candy Cane Sensory Bin
Candy Candy Sensory Rice Play
Easy candy cane sensory play with a rice sensory bin! We have already enjoyed a Christmas Sand Sensory Bin,  Christmas magnet sensory bin and a Christmas water sensory bin!  I found myself playing with it just as much as he did! The simpler the better and this one uses some great skills too from scooping, pouring, transferring, grasping and gripping! We have so many favorite sensory bin fillers.Candy Cane Sensory Bin Set Up
- colored red and pink rice and white rice {recipe for coloring rice}
- plastic globe ornaments
- shiny beads and/or tiny pompoms
- funnels
- small scoops or measuring spoons
Color your rice and let dry. Combine all the materials in one sensory bin container for stress free play! So easy!
Candy Cane Sensory Bin Play
I added one real candy cane to our cane cane sensory play. maybe there was one to snack on too! We played candy cane hunt a few times as he loves hide and seek! It’s a great way to engage a child in tactile sensory play if he or she is hesitant about putting his or her hands in it right away!
I love to add mini drink mix scoops. The small handles are great for little hands and encourage fine motor play too! I save everything for our sensory bins and love to check out what we have in the recycling bin too! There are so many great items in your kitchen drawers to add to your candy cane sensory bin!
Pouring, scooping, dumping and filling are great fine motor sensory play ideas. Using funnels and plastic, fillable ornaments increases fine motor skills! We like our sensory bins simple with lots of room to scoop up our favorite fillers like this awesome easy colored rice!
Thanks for including our peppermint sensory bin! So much fun on a cold day!
