WHO IS ANDY WARHOL?

Before Andy Warhol became a famous pop artist, he was the most successful commercial illustrator in New York City. He was commissioned by Tiffany & Co in 1956, creating everything from shoe advertisements to Christmas cards.

His Christmas cards were designs of Christmas trees made of fruit, reindeer, angels, stockings, gifts, and candies.

Warhol also designed a series of Poinsettia paintings and screen prints that he gave as gifts to his friends. With bright colors and hot pink outlines, Warhol made the traditional Christmas flower
quite famous!
