I don’t often write from the heart, in fact, pretty much never. I am not a sharer of personal feelings and thus I think people don’t know how if I have any. It is much easier to write about our activities and the how-to’s then the frustration and sadness that is really behind the picmonkey photo collages. More of a post from the heart this time!
Today I am guest posting over at Upside Down Homeschooling for Heather. When I asked her what she might like for a topic, she told me to write whatever was layed on my heart and so I did. Really for the first time, I have written about our family and how it is changed with our son’s diagnosis but also how we are moving forward (sort of) with it. Please continue reading by hopping over to Upside Down Homeschooling! POST HERE
Have you written from the heart lately? I love your comments!

I just finished reading your guest post, and I am so touched by your heartfelt sharing. Your post is going to mean so much to so many parents . . . I hope you realize that. Thank you so much!

Thank You! It was such a different experience to write about something like that as opposed to what I usually do especially since I don’t consider myself a writer. I did feel like it needed to be said and was a good discussion point for me and my husband. Hoping someone else might benefit from it too!

I had two kids on the spectrum, one autistic, one aspy. Reading your post clicked with me, as I worry about the path we are on with my daughter (aspy). My son passed away 6 years ago, but we routinely still talk about all his special quirks! In having other children, the modifying seems to become more difficult for us, as they are very different in many ways from my daughter. And what works for them doesn’t work for her. My husband seems to find it difficult to modify, I think he keeps hoping if he continues to parent all the kids the same way, my daugh will eventually accept it. Reading of how much love and effort you are making so far is inspiring, and the fact that you two try to be on the same page. Wanted to say thanks! Good luck in your journey!
