When we have an extra day with Dad, we typically choose a children’s museum we have not been to before. However, today we chose a farm! We had our farm theme all week so it was a nice finale to all the learning and play we had done at home (post here). It has been raining off and on for what feels like forever, but today the sky is blue and the sun is beautiful. It’s warm but not hot, so here we go…… headed to Retreat Farm in Brattleboro, VT. (The pictures are the best my iphone had to offer, but the memories are still there!)
Lots of animals to feed, pet and admire! Hay for everyone. We saw so many animals and babies including just born chicks, baby goats and piglets! Of course, no trip to the farm is complete without a huge corn sensory bin (this is the first sensory bin Liam was ever in when he was 1 years old) and a play country store with ice cream shop!
A perfect family day capped off with a real treat, a stop at an ice cream shop!
Do you visit a farm each year? I love to hear your comments!
