Read about 12 Months of Sensory Dough Play by Lemon Lime Adventures
I signed on to the 12 months of sensory dough play as a sort of therapy for my son who has a sensory processing disorder diagnosis. He can’t stand for his hands to be messy and often needs to wash them right away if something gets on his hands or spills on his hands. As you can imagine, mud, shaving cream, lotion, finger paint, slime, even bubbles that are too dry and the like are not that appealing to him! I love the idea of messy play experiences and want to introduce him to different types to broaden his experiences and become more comfortable with this type of play. Check out cool foaming fizzy sensory dough 2 ways!

- Form a ball or mold a shape, you are ready.
- Freeze it or use as is!
Getting Started
I froze the first batch of fizzy dough for this try. Pour vinegar into a squirt bottle or use a bowl with eye droppers or a measuring scoop. I set the melon in the middle of a baking dish and pooped out the frozen dough and inserted it into the melon. Add water and soap mixture. Prepare to fizz and foam! (The dish detergent/water mixture creates the foam but is not needed. See below for the second way we played!)

Squirt bottles of vinegar even work little hands for fine motor skills!
Another Way To Play With Fizzy Dough
So he wanted to do it again with the other half of the melon he saw on the counter. I decided to just whip up a batch of the basic fizzy dough but not freeze it so we could play right away! We even skipped the foaming soap part. I did however tint the vinegar to look like honeydew melon juice for a little fun! This time you could here the fizzing a bit more. Just as fun!
