Glittery Pom Pom Fireworks Painting
Easy Painting Fun With Pom Pom Brushes
This is an awesome quick easy and fun project to do with all ages! I had fun too. Fireworks have been sort of a theme around here this week starting with a quick and simple fireworks in a bottle activity as well as some glue and glitter fireworks and some glue and colored rice fireworks. I have been talking up fireworks since we will be out on Cape Cod for the 4th of July this year and pretty much each town has a grand set of fireworks covering the whole week. We are fortunate to watch them from a private association beach with the barge just a mile or so away that sets off the fireworks. He saw them last year and loved them and the older he gets, the better chance I have to explain why things like this celebration happen. So… we made our own fireworks this year to celebrate!
I think the best choice of course is a night sky canvas! Here was his invitation to create. He couldn’t go to bed until he had finished all of his activities for the day. I went a little nuts the night before and set up quite a few! Happy to oblige! The sparkly pom-pom, 2nd from top, worked the best so I dug out another one of those. It seemed to create a better firework display. I also chose to go with more colors than red and blue since I remember fireworks as super colorful anyway.
I love the way the fireworks sparkle with the glitter!
We were to busy making fireworks together for me to get many pictures but it sure was fun and really very quick. What project isn’t complete without glitter? Certainly not our fireworks! We sprinkled glitter everywhere and then he asked to do another. Why not?
