BAKING SODA AND VINEGAR REACTION

This fizzy Green Egss and Ham activity is a fun example of a chemical reaction including states of matter! That is a solid (baking soda) and a liquid (vinegar) reacting together to form a completely new substance.

When the vinegar (an acid) and baking soda (a base) combine together, they form a gas called carbon dioxide which is all the fizzing bubbling action you see! All three states of matter are present: liquid (vinegar), solid (baking soda), and gas (carbon dioxide).

What can you use instead of baking soda and vinegar?
