Did you know one of the most searched terms this year was How To Make Slime Recipes? It was also voted once of the most annoying crazes of the year as well. Slime stuck in hair is no fun. Who would have thought homemade slime making would clear the shelves of glue and have every kid and adult buying up glue and saline solution and baking soda and glitter by the gallons. I have my two very favorite slime recipes to share today.

HOW TO MAKE SLIME RECIPES WITH KIDS AND OUR 2 FAVORITES!

I was actually getting a little nervous when I realized I was running low on glue and noticed I might have to pay a small fortune for a new bottle. Then the end caps of big stores were stocking “slime supplies” like mad. Did I add to the drama? I hope so!

Well, here we are, still making slime for all you and since those slime overload days, we have added videos too. So if you want to learn how to make slime recipes with kids, this is the place to be.

MY 2 FAVORITE SLIME RECIPES

I share tons of fun ways to make slime with cool seasonal and holiday themes, but do you know what my absolute favorite and most basic homemade slime recipe is to make? Ok well I have two actually.

Please note that both saline solution slime and liquid starch slime recipes include ingredients that are part of the boron family which includes borax powder. Sodium borate and boric acid are both slime activators commonly found in saline or contact solutions, eye drops, and laundry starches.

HOW TO MAKE SLIME RECIPE FAVORITE #1

My fist absolutely favorite recipe is my saline solution slime recipe. If you want to learn how to make slime recipes with kids, you have to learn how to make this recipe. It’s awesome, stretchy, and full of oozing goodness.

You can easily make this slime with either clear or white washable PVA glue and add any color or glitter you want! Try some sequins or confetti too. Want to make a slime kit for the kids, start here.

Watch the video of our saline slime being made right here and click on the black box for the exact recipe with step by step instructions.

HOW TO MAKE SLIME RECIPES FAVORITE #2

Now my second and newest favorite slime recipe is actually our liquid starch slime recipe with an added ingredient, a tiny bottle of cheap glitter glue. It makes the slime so soft and stretchy and of course glittery.

You can of course make this recipe without the added bottle of glittery goodness, but I think it makes it just that much more special and unique.

Of course you can also make this slime recipe with either clear or white washable PVA glue but if you want to add the extra little bottle of glue, you want to stick with the clear glue base. You can see that in the video below.

I also have a great recipe of this slime in action and you can check out the recipe if you click here.
