There’s nothing better than something homemade for Christmas. Our North Pole Ninjas shared an request with us to make cards for someone special far away. Now my son isn’t the super crafty type, but break out the LEGO and some paint, and he gets pretty excited. Our homemade LEGO Christmas cards are on their way to family far away.

LEGO CHRISTMAS
Homemade holidays with LEGO! I think it’s so important to use what you have to create new and fun activities rather than going out and spending a ton of money on something new. Finding ways to use what you already have is a valuable lesson we can all use!
If you have a growing LEGO collection, you can make these super fun homemade LEGO Christmas cards. You could also make your own LEGO Ornaments or try out a few of our LEGO building ideas with our free printable calendar.
You can make very sweet, homemade Christmas cards this year that will make everyone smile. We loved using our LEGO bricks to create one of a kind designs. Remember you don’t just have to use the square bricks!

HOW TO MAKE LEGO CHRISTMAS CARDS
STEP 1: Clear off plenty of space and put newspaper down if necessary to minimize the mess. Paper towels nearby isn’t a bad idea either!
STEP 2: Gather up interesting shaped LEGO pieces to try out.
You may think to use just the standard 2×2 style bricks, but my son really enjoyed digging out some unique pieces for different features on his cards. Check out the snowman above! Or make a simple candy cane.
STEP 3: Squirt different paint colors onto paper plates. Then place your LEGO piece gently into the paint and stamp onto the card.
I used a dollar store cookie sheet for my son to stamp his cards on to make it a little easier for him to work. We made Christmas trees, snowmen, candy canes, snow, and presents!
STEP 4: Let your stamped LEGO Christmas cards dry. Once dry, you can add any lettering to the front that you like or write a message inside!
As a fun decorative touch, you can add a ribbon tie. Use a hole punch to make a hole on each edge and thread a ribbon through.
