LEGO And Unifix Alphabet Building Activity For Kids

Learning the alphabet doesn’t have to be boring and stressful! Especially if your kids love LEGO. Here’s a fun and very simple way for your kids to practice building letters, tracing letters, and even writing letters. I know this LEGO and Unifix alphabet activity will be great for my kindergarten age son as well as preschoolers who are ready! We have lots of fun ways to play with LEGO.

LEGO Unifix Alphabet Activity for Preschool

LEGO AND UNIFIX ALPHABET BUILDING ACTIVITY

Make learning fun and exciting! Adding an element of play makes learning feel like play time and that is perfect for young kids! Early childhood should be filled with play and fun times. Add their favorite toys! Use My Little Ponies or fun erasers but use whatever your kids love and it will be fun! Make sure to look at some of our early learning math ideas or science ideas too!

UNIFIX ALPHABET SET UP

Grab some trucks and blocks, LEGO, or unifix cubes and you are ready to go! I can not locate this printable pages at the original website, but I have made up some of my own which also encourage tracing letters and writing letters! You can also simply write big letters on a piece of paper, with either capital or lowercase and have your kids place the blocks or bricks along the lines!

SIMPLE ALPHABET PLAY IDEA

I wanted to do a quick and simple set up for a LEGO and Unifix alphabet activity today! However, I wanted to try a new angle for Liam since he isn’t really into a lot of the ways I have presented the alphabet. Apparently I need to make them multi-dimensional so I added the trucks to hold the blocks (recyclables) and after he did a letter or a page of two letters he would clean them up with the truck and “recycle them”. Once the truck was full it would have to make a delivery to drop off more so we could continue. He happily worked on each letter of the alphabet. He even traced each letter first with our fingers. What a win for today! Love using what we have around the house!

I love how you had him “build” the letters–my 3-year old would love that!! I’m so glad you shared this at Teach Me Tuesday at Preschool Powol Packets!

Would LOVE if these included lowercase letters as well…. Some of the letters were not outlined letters but filled in. No big deal, but thought I’d let you know! Thanks for sharing.
