Fun and Simple Popper Ball Game with Plastic Cups
This quick and easy popper ball game is simple indoor play! These popper ball guys are so cool, but they are even more awesome for hand strengthening and fine motor skills. Setting up this simple pooper ball game is perfect for hand strengthening! All you need is a set of plastic cups and some popper ball guys {affiliate link}.
I set out our popper ball game with both big and little plastic cups I fond at the dollar store! He could stack the cups any way he wanted which also encouraged fine motor skills and a bit of engineering too! To play the popper ball game simply load a ball into the mouth area of your popper animal and squeeze. Both the loading of the popper balls and the squeezing of the popper ball animal work those hand muscles and coordination skills!
Here he goes with the big cups! To knock the big cups down in our popper game, he needed a bit more visual coordination and it took several tries to get all the cups down.
This easy to set up popper ball game is really endless fun especially when you are stuck inside! Turn it into a math game too and keep track of how many cups are knocked down each time! How big of a tower can you build and how many popper balls does it take to knock it down? The possibilities are numerous. Your child will be working on some great fine motor skills without even knowing it!

Love this idea! You could turn this into a subtraction activity…..start with a certain amount of cups, pop a few off and see how many are left. You could add dice to this game to see how many cups to pop off. You could also write sight words or alphabet letters, colors, numbers, etc on the cups and practice reading whatever falls off when popped. Very versatile activity and adorable! Fine motor skills being snuck in there is a great plus!

I just bought a Nerf ball shooter and plastic cups to do a letter learning activity! The ball poppers are so cute and something else that would also be great for my son’s fine motor skills. Great idea!
