WHY CHRISTMAS STEM?

For our Christmas STEM ideas, I divided up the categories of STEM into science, technology, engineering, and math. STEM is so important to introduce early on to young kids. You can also have a blast by making your STEM activities holiday themed.  

STEM Notes: The best STEM activities will include two or more of the pillars that make up STEM. A great example is our popsicle stick catapult. Create a design and engineer a simple machine to learn about the physical sciences including energy, force, and motion. Test different weights of items to launch and measure the results.

STEM is the world all around us. Kids learn by observing the world around them, learning about the world around them, and by becoming a part of the world around them.

STEM projects can be done easily and inexpensively at home or in the classroom. Plus, STEM projects provide invaluable life lessons your kids will use for years to come.
