UNICORN GLITTER SLIME

Unicorn slime is a fun combination of beautiful bright colors or pretty pastels. Add a dash of glitter and a hint of sequins for a shimmery, magical effect.

We chose a combination of bright colors, coordinating glitter, and a hearty dash of gold tinsel glitter (magical fur) for our unicorn glitter slime. Iridescent sequins add a fun shimmer. I had hoped we had iridescent stars like we used for our galaxy slime, but we are all out! I love tinsel glitter!

You can also use white glue for this unicorn slime, but the look will be different! When you can add sequins and glitter you will lose the sparkle, but it will still be cool. Check it out below.

Whichever glue you choose and whatever colors you choose to make your unicorn slime, it will be as unique as you or your kids!

UNICORN SLIME RECIPE

This unicorn slime recipe uses our liquid starch slime recipe. Our saline solution slime recipe will also work really well.

Below you will find all the gorgeous pictures of our unicorn slime. Keep in mind that eventually the colors will mix, and you will have a sort of sparkly mud slime. If you don’t want to end up with that, choose color shades closer together like this slime.

SUPPLIES:

  • 1/2 cup Clear Washable PVA School Glue
  • Food Coloring (general grocery store food coloring works too, grab a neon set!)
  • 1/2 cup Water
  • 1/4 cup Liquid Starch
  • Glitter and Sequins

HOW TO MAKE UNICORN SLIME

STEP 1:  In a bowl add 1/2 cup water and 1/2 cup glue and mix well to combine completely.

STEP 2: Now’s the time to add color, glitter, or confetti!

Remember, when you add color to white glue, the color will be lighter. Use clear glue for jewel-toned colors!

You can never add too much glitter! Mix the glitter and color into the glue and water mixture.

STEP 3: Pour in 1/4 cup of liquid starch and stir well.

You will see the slime immediately start to form and pull away from the sides of the bowl. Keep stirring until you have a gooey blob of slime. The liquid should be gone!

STEP 4:  Start kneading your slime! It will appear stringy at first, but just work it around with your hands, and you will notice the consistency change.

SLIME MAKING TIP:   The trick with liquid starch slime is to put a few drops of the liquid starch onto your hands before picking up the slime. However, keep in mind that although adding more liquid starch reduces the stickiness, it will eventually create a stiffer slime.
