EASY VALENTINE MEMORY GAME

VALENTINES GAMES FOR KIDS
Sometimes you just need an activity to be simple but lots of fun to keep the kids busy. This is it! I was walking around the store the other day, and it hit me. Valentine’s Day cards would make for an awesome Valentine matching game. Put them in a zip top bag and use again and again {laminate them too}!
We have two fun and easy versions of our Valentine memory game. One uses Valentine’s Day cards and the other uses red colored plastic cups and heart shaped candy. Both are lots of fun to play!

Valentine’s Day Memory Games
MEMORY GAME 1
SUPPLIES: You will need Valentine’s Day Cards Boxed {without candy}. Double check there will be enough cards to make a memory game.
TO PLAY: Open up your package of Valentines Day cards and make sure you have pairs of everything. We had double pairs of some which is fine especially for younger kids. You could also use two of the same boxes for each game.
Mix the cards up and flip them over. Take turns making matches! My son even enjoyed setting them up and doing it by himself. Very young kids can leave cards face up and make pairs to work on just matching skills.
MEMORY GAME 2
SUPPLIES: You will need a set of mini plastic cups and some multi-colored conversation hearts candy.
Save some candy hearts and check out our dissolving candy heart experiment!
TO PLAY: Decide on an even number of cups to use and make pairs with your candy hearts. Hide them under the cups.
A parent or teacher can do this for the kids. I did it for the two of us and couldn’t even remember where I put the colors! Again, take turns matching colored conversation hearts by picking up the cups!
If you wanted, you could eat the pairs as you find them! My son wanted to try a few of the flavors. Blue is his favorite, and we found out it is my husband’s too ever since he was a kid.
These Valentine matching games are simple but filled with fun play and learning opportunities!
