WATER BEADS APPLES SENSORY BIN FOR KIDS
Fall is an amazing time to explore and create with apples! There are so many types of play and learning that go along with apples. You can teach numbers, letters, science, and more. Apples make for great sensory play in bins or with paint! Here’s our latest creation, a water beads, and apples sensory bin!
Water Beads are super fun and they are red and round like apples too!
For this apples sensory bin set up, I used red water beads and a bag of acrylic apples and leaves from the craft store. I added a silicone apple tray from the dollar store as well as some of our own measuring cups and pie plate! Such an easy setup as long as you start plumping the water beads a few hours before!

I think he liked the way they felt on his hands and then he started to find the apples. He kept saying, I have wet apples! Water beads are an excellent tactile sensory experience that is really beneficial for young kids.
He set about finding all the red and green apples and filling various containers with the apples and leaves. Of course, we had to make apple soup! Lots of pretend taste testing until it had just the right amount of apples and leaves to be considered tasty.
There are tons of opportunities to add in simple math concepts like one-to-one counting and sorting. Add an ice cube tray and a set of kid-friendly tweezers and let them place an item in each of the cube areas of the tray! Great for fine motor work too.
This apple sensory bin with water beads was so much fun for us to share together!
