We were gifted our copies of Zoey and Sassafras from the amazing author. I can’t say enough how much we have enjoyed reading these together. They certainly do spark the curiosity that comes so naturally to young kids.
The biggest take away is questions. Never stop questioning. Always ask questions, make predictions, form a hypothesis, solve problems, and always observe whats happening around you. Life s full of science and science is full of life.
Have your own questions? Want to conduct your own science experiments around the house? Why not start your own science notebook or science binder with our printable science journal pages. Â Set up a home science lab too!
Our science pages map out the key ideas to using the scientific method to ask questions and find answers. You can read more about using the scientific method with young kids. Zoey also illustrates how to use the scientific method very simply in this book.
Â
Want to check out the creatures around you? We made these fun printable creature science pages. I can’t promise you any magical creature sightings in your woods, but I know you have some regular creatures out there! Or you can dream up your own magical animal. Use our sheets to learn more about a specific type of creature just like Zoey did to help the baby dragon. Â
 Â
We also made you several printable science journal field notes pages to choose from! Use the pages to keep track of your notes and thoughts about each science experiment. You can pair it with the science journal page above. Add a clipboard and you are all set to get started. Click on the black button below.
