This mixed media fish craft is inspired by famous artist Jackson Pollock and his style of ‘action painting’ and abstract art! Ocean art and crafts are the perfect way to learn about creatures living in the ocean!
Pollock Fish Craft

SUPPLIES:
- Ocean & fish printable (see below)
- Acrylic paint
- Watercolor paint
- Markers
- Glue
- Bead
- Plastic Wrap
- Zip top bags
- Scissors
INSTRUCTIONS:
STEP 1: Print the fish and ocean floor templates.
STEP 2: Use markers and watercolor paints to color your ocean floor template.
STEP 3: Squirt paints into zip-top bags and snip off the corners of each bag.
STEP 4: Squeeze the bags of paint so that a small stream of color comes out. Paint your fish.
STEP 5: Place plastic wrap over your painted fish and gently press down to create a tie dye look. Lift plastic wrap and let dry.
STEP 6: Cut out your fish and glue to your ocean floor. Glue a bead eye for an added touch!

Jackson Pollock was a famous American painter in the abstract expressionist movement. He is best known for his drip paintings.
