- Shamrock template (see below)
- Scissors
- Watercolor
- Brush
- Water
- Background paper

How to Make Shamrock Paintings
STEP 1: Print out the shamrock template.
STEP 2: Choose watercolor paints in all shades of green for our St Patrick’s Day theme.
STEP 3: Use a paintbrush and water to splatter or drip paint all over your shamrock. Shake the brush, drip the paint, splatter with your fingers. Make a fun mess!
STEP 4: Let your work dry, and then cut out the shamrock.
STEP 5. Glue your painted shamrock to colored cardstock or canvas.

Who is Jackson Pollock: Famous Splatter Painter!
Famous artist Jackson Pollock is often called the Father of Action Painting for his energetic and expressive painting style. Instead of using brushes in a traditional way, Pollock dripped, splattered, and poured paint onto large canvases placed on the floor, moving quickly as he worked.
This bold and messy technique became known as action painting because it captured movement and spontaneity. Sometimes, Pollock even stepped in the paint, leaving footprints behind in his artwork!
