Have you ever tried mixed media art? It sounds like it might be complicated! It’s definitely not, and it’s super easy to try!

Mixed media art is all about combining a variety of mediums. A medium can be as simple as paint, crayons, and markers. Using two or more mediums together in one masterpiece to form a new work of art!

Although The Starry Night painting by Vincent Van Gogh is not mixed media, here you can have a little art fun with it!

The Starry Night is a painting by the Dutch painter Vincent van Gogh in 1889. Where is Starry Night currently? The painting has been in the Museum of Modern Art collection in New York City since 1941. Considered one of Van Gogh’s best works, The Starry Night is also one of the most well-recognized paintings in the world.

How to Make Van Gogh-Inspired Mixed Media Art

Step 1: Print out the template.

Step 2: Cut the template into four pieces (more if you want to get more detailed or add more mediums).

Step 3: Color each piece with a different medium.

Step 4: Assemble the squares back together by either taping the backs of them or attaching them to a new piece of paper!
