HOW TO MAKE DINO DIRT CUPS
DINOSAUR DESSERT RECIPE
Total Time: 15 minutes
Makes: 5 servings
- 2 ¾ cup milk
- Jello instant chocolate pudding box mix, 5.9 oz
- Dinosaur chocolate candy mold
- Candy melts, in blue, red, orange and yellow
- Clear plastic tumblers or punch cups
- 6 to 7 Double Stuf Oreos
- Edible chocolate candy rocks
HOW TO MAKE DIRT CUPS
STEP 1. In a large bowl, pour the milk and instant pudding mix. Mix well with a whisk or hand mixer until all lumps are removed. Place in the refrigerator to set.
STEP 2. Add the Oreos to a food processor, and crush into fine crumbs. Or you can add them to a ziplock baggie and crush with a rolling pin or mallet.
STEP 3. Remove the pudding from the refrigerator and fill the clear plastic cups approximately ¾ full. Top each pudding cup with the oreo crumbs.
STEP 4. Decorate your dirt cups with the edible dinosaurs below and enjoy a fun dinosaur dessert.
HOW TO MAKE EDIBLE DINOSAURS
STEP 1. While the pudding is setting, heat the yellow candy melts in the microwave for 30 seconds on 50% power. Remove and stir very well. If the candy melts have not fully melted, return to the microwave for an additional 10 seconds, and again stir well.
STEP 2. Using a spoon or silicone spatula, scoop the melted candy melts into a sandwich size baggie. Cut a very small tip off one bottom corner of the baggie, and pipe the candy melts into the dinosaur chocolate mold.
STEP 3. Repeat step 2 with the blue, red, and orange candy melts until the dinosaur chocolate mold is full. Place the mold in the refrigerator to set.
STEP 4. Remove the dinosaurs from the refrigerator. Place one candy melt dinosaur on top of the dirt cups, and sprinkle the edible chocolate candy rocks around the dinosaur. Serve immediately, or keep chilled until time to serve.
