Bear Says Thanks Sensory Bin Project Gratitude

Create a Bear Says Thanks Sensory Bin for the Thanksgiving season! I wanted to explore the meaning of thankful, being thankful, and showing gratitude. A simple and fun way to help him learn about gratitude, thankfulness and appreciation for others came from this simple book. Bear Says Thanks sensory play is a wonderful way to show a young child ways to be thankful for what is around him or her and a great Thanksgiving activity too.

BEAR SAYS THANKS SENSORY BIN FOR KIDS

LEARNING ABOUT GIVING THANKS, SHOWING GRATITUDE, AND BEING GRATEFUL

Bear Says Thanks by Karma Wilson

Teaching kids to be thankful is one of life’s most important lessons they will carry with them forever.

WHY SHOULD I MAKE SENSORY BINS

Sensory bins are easy to make! Some children, like my son, have more interest in learning when presented with a sensory bin. Several thoughts include heightening the child’s ability to attend and focus and keep interest, feeling what they are learning such as letters buried in rice, and incorporating play as part of the process. This is called tactile sensory play and we love it. We even make up our own tactile sensory play recipes that you can do at home too.

Check out all our favorite sensory bin fillers. We have used sensory bins for fine motor skills, science, math and number recognition, and literacy! The possibilities are endless for learning with constant sensory input provided. Want to know more? Here’s our Ultimate Guide to Sensory Play
