New Years Handprint Craft

Looking for something fun and festive to add to your New Years activities for kids this year? Make a handprint keepsake to welcome in the new year with this fun and easy New Years craft idea. Great New Years craft for toddlers to preschoolers, this is sure to be a great addition to the party table!

NEW YEAR HANDPRINT CRAFT

SUPPLIES NEEDED:

Cardstock – white, gold
Acrylic paint – assorted colors
Scissors
Glue stick

INSTRUCTIONS:

STEP 1. Begin by tracing your toddler’s handprint on white cardstock or paper.

STEP 2. Cut out the handprint.

STEP 3. Glue the handprint to the corner of a sheet of gold cardstock, width-wise.

STEP 4. Pour quite a few different colors of paint on a flat surface. We like to use a paper plate. Let your kiddos take their fingertips, dip into the paint and begin forming fingerprint confetti from the handprint across the page.

The more colors you use for the confetti, the more festive it will appear. We used 9 or 10 different colors. Some of the fingerprints should overlap, as well.

Continue until all the colors are used and your confetti is ready for the new year!
