Ever wondered what crafts you can make with newspaper? Try something a little different by creating abstract circle art with newspaper rolls! Kandinsky circles are perfect for a recycled newspaper craft for kids. Art doesn’t have to be difficult or overly messy to share with children, and it doesn’t have to cost a lot either. Plus, you can add in heaps of fun and learning this Earth Day with our famous artists!

HOW TO MAKE NEWSPAPER ART

WHAT IS NEWSPRINT?

Newsprint is made from pine, fir, spruce, or other softwood trees in a mechanical pulp mill. The trees are debarked and chipped before turned into wood pulp.

Publishers and printers like to use newsprint because it is cheap to make, strong and can accept four-color printing at qualities that meet the needs of typical newspapers.

Create your own fun and colorful abstract art with rolled newspaper. Download our free printable craft project below to get started.
