HOW TO MAKE A TOILET PAPER ROLL MONKEY

Hopefully, you will find everything you need to make these monkeys around the house right now! Can you make a troop of monkeys? A troop is what you call a group of monkeys regardless of their species.

YOU WILL NEED:

  • Toilet Paper Roll.
  • Colorful craft paper (Brown shades).
  • Scissors
  • Craft Glue
  • Pencil
  • Ruler
  • Markers (orange, black, and brown)
  • Printable Template

MONKEY CRAFT INSTRUCTIONS

Get ready to make a monkey! Using similar instructions and pieces, could you make other animals. With a few extra pieces of colored paper, markers, and a little bit of creativity, I bet you could make lots of different animals.

  • Add a mane for a lion
  • Add stripes for a tiger
  • Add a trunk and ears for an elephant

Give your monkey some trees!

You could even challenge yourself to make a monkey that hangs by his tail! Use additional paper towel tubes or toilet roll tubes to make leafy trees.

  • Wrap green paper (or use paint) around the tubes.
  • Cut out leaf shapes and glue them to the tubes!
  • Make a palm tree!

STEP 1. Use the printed PDF templates to cut out the pieces for the toilet paper roll monkey.

STEP 2. Now, follow the numbers on the instructions and the numbers on the templates to glue the pieces together.

First, glue the monkey’s face on its head (piece number: 1 and 2).

Now, glue the palms with the hands. (piece number “3 and $ “5 and 6”)

STEP 3. Take both ears of the monkey (piece number: 7 and 8) glue them on the top side of the monkey’s head.

STEP 4. Draw eyes on 2 circular white papers. Then glue them on the monkey’s face.

STEP 5. Now, cut out a brown piece of paper according to the circumference and the height of the tissue paper roll. Use the brown paper to wrap the tissue paper roll. Use glue to secure the wrap.

STEP 6. Now, take the monkey’s arms and glue them on the tissue paper roll. Allow the glue to dry.

STEP 7. Then take the monkey’s head and glue it on the top side of the tissue paper roll.

STEP 8. Now glue the tail on the backside of the tissue paper roll.

STEP 9. You can end making the monkey here, but if you want to add one more detail take the piece number 10 and glue beneath the hands of the monkey on the monkey’s belly.
