LEARNING WITH LEGO

LEGO is one of the most awesome and versatile play materials out there. Ever since my son connected his first LEGO bricks, he has been in love. Usually, we enjoy tons of cool science experiments together so here we have mixed science and STEM with LEGO building ideas.

The benefits of LEGO® are numerous. From hours of free play to more complicated STEM projects, LEGO building has encouraged learning through exploration for decades. Our LEGO activities cover so many areas of learning that are great for preschoolers through to the early teen years.

EARTH DAY LEGO

Earth Day is coming up and its a great time to reflect on the importance of Planet Earth, and how we can look after it.

Earth Day started in 1970 in the United States as a way to focus people’s attention on environmental issues. The first Earth Day led to the creation of the United States Environmental Protection Agency and saw new environmental laws passed.

In 1990 Earth Day went global, and today billions of people around the world participate in support of the protection of our Earth. Together, let’s save the Earth!

Have fun building a custom living habitat for your LEGO mini-figs for Earth Day. Have a discussion with the kids about ways they can help look after Planet Earth.

While you are it, also learn about stormwater runoff, your carbon footprint and acid rain.

This LEGO Earth Day challenge is perfect to share with your kiddos. All you need to do is download our free LEGO Earth Day printable, find some basic bricks and follow the prompts to get started.
