HOW TO MAKE A GOD’S EYE
God’s eyes were originally made by the Huichol, the indigenous people of western Mexico. They were created as spiritual symbols that helped them connect with the natural world. For many years, and still in present day, they appeared on everything from altars to large ceremonial shields. The Huichol also believed they had protective powers to keep their people safe.
