POPSICLE STICK REINDEER

  • Mini Popsicle Sticks
  • Paint
  • Paintbrush
  • Glue
  • String or Yarn
  • Pom Poms
  • Decorate String or Ribbon
  • Googly Eyes

HOW TO MAKE A REINDEER ORNAMENT

STEP 1: For each ornament…

Paint 3 large Popsicle sticks with dark brown paint and allow them to dry completely.

Paint 4 mini Popsicle sticks with light brown paint and allow them to dry.

Note: You may want to complete this part of the activity head of time.

STEP 2: Glue the dark brown Popsicle sticks into a triangle.

Then glue the 2 mini Popsicle sticks together to form antlers. You will need 2 antlers per ornament.

STEP 3: Wrap the triangle Popsicle sticks in brown string or yarn. Pull it tight as you go. Secure the end with glue.

TIP: For younger children you may want to tie the beginning of the yarn onto one side of the triangle.

STEP 4: Glue 2 googly eyes onto the reindeer and a red pom pom for its nose at the bottom.

Now glue the antlers onto the back of the top Popsicle stick.

STEP 5: Loop a decorative string or ribbon and glue it onto the back of the ornament (shown above).

Now you have one cute reindeer ornament ready to hang on the tree!
