Snow Paint Recipe

This puffy snow paint recipe makes for a fun indoor activity! Check out how to make paint snow for an equally fun outdoor activity!

Supplies:

  • 1 cup glue
  • 1 to 2 cups shaving cream (not gel), depending on how fluffy you want the paint
  • Food coloring (for color), optional
  • Essential oils (for fragrance), optional
  • Glitter (for sparkle), optional
  • Construction paper or cardstock

How To Make Snow Paint

STEP 1. In a large bowl, whisk together glue and shaving cream until combined.

Idea: Make a batch of our favorite fluffy slime with leftover shaving cream.

STEP 2: If desired, add food coloring, essential oil, or glitter and stir to distribute.

Your puffy snow paint is ready to use. Get kids to paint with paintbrushes, sponges, or cotton swabs. If you want, sprinkle the paint with additional glitter and allow it to dry.

Variations: Have additional paper and scissors available for children to create a picture to decorate with snow. Or, encourage children to decorate their snowy creations with pom poms, gems, sequins, etc.
