Pumpkin Painting in a Bag
We love hands-on tactile play with all sorts of sensory recipes for kids. This simple pumpkin painting in a bag activity requires just a few supplies. It’s fun for all ages and great to add to a pumpkin preschool theme this fall!
SUPPLIES NEEDED:
- Tempera Paint
- Gallon zip-top freezer bag
- Masking tape
- Cardstock
- Scissors
- Template (see below)
Try this project with apples and leaves!
HOW TO MAKE PUMPKIN PAINTING IN A BAG
STEP 1. Trace the template of your choosing over cardstock and cut out the design.
STEP 2. Squeeze a good size blob of orange paint into the plastic bag. Then release all the air from the bag and seal.
STEP 3. Choose whether to tape the plastic bag to the table OR to the cardstock. If you are taping the plastic bag to the table, tape the cardstock over the plastic bag.
STEP 4. Now time for squishy mess-free fun! Get your kiddos to move the paint around the bag with their fingers to fill the open space in the cardstock.
