The engineering design process is what engineers use to create solutions to problems. This process is highly adaptable and perfect for guiding students through the challenges presented in the Halloween STEM cards. Here’s how the process works:

Ask: Define the problem or challenge. What needs to be accomplished? What are the constraints and requirements? For example, in the “Build a Skeleton” challenge, students need to build a skeleton that can stand independently using materials like cotton swabs, straws, and pipe cleaners.
