How to Make the Christmas Candle Craft

Supplies Needed

  • Printable Christmas Candle templates
  • Scissors
  • Glue stick or tape
  • Markers, crayons, or colored pencils
  • Optional: background cardstock to mount the candles

Step-By-Step Candle Craft Instructions

Step 1: Print & Color

Choose your favorite candle designs and color them in.
Each sheet offers a unique pattern—snowflakes, stars, stripes, holly leaves, waves, and more.

Step 2: Cut Out Each Candle

Cut along the solid outside lines.
Younger kids may need assistance, especially near the flame.

Step 3: Fold the Sides

Fold along the dotted fold lines.
These folds help you shape the candle into a rounded form.

Step 4: Bend the Bottom into an Arc

Each template includes a curved line at the bottom showing where to “bend to form an arc.”
This creates a slightly rounded base for a dimensional look.

Step 5: Glue the Candle Together

Use the tabs labeled “glue” to join the candle edges.
Once glued, the candle forms a rounded cylinder shape.

Step 6: Create a Candle Scene (Optional)

Your printable pack includes background pages with seasonal borders and bases.
Kids can assemble:
