THANKSGIVING TURKEY ART FOR KIDS
WHO IS PABLO PICASSO?
Picasso was born in Malaga in Spain in 1881. His style of art was considered ‘modern’ and ‘abstract’. He is considered one of the greatest
artists of the 20th century. He is best known as the co-founder of
cubism. A work of art is cubist when the artist chooses to break up objects
and re-assemble them in abstract and geometric form.

Some abstract artists had theories on the emotions that were caused
by certain colors and shapes. They planned out their seemingly
random paintings to the last detail. Other abstract artists painted with
emotion and randomness hoping to capture their emotion and
subconscious thoughts on the canvas.
Create your own abstract art below with this Picasso turkey art project. You will choose how to break up your turkey into different sections and then what colors to add. Will your choices be random or planned out?
