Baking Soda Science Activities: The Science!
What happens when baking soda {a base} and vinegar {an acid} mix? They fizz, erupt, and bubble depending on the activity. When an acid and a base mix the gas they create is called carbon dioxide.
The release of the gas causes the eruption or fizzing that you can see and hear! If you hold your hand just above the bubbling, you will even be able to feel it!

vinegar (lemon or lime juice are some alternatives)
eye dropper, baster, squeeze and squirt bottles
